Back to the beach!

We just spent another weekend in Bethany Beach! Gabby remembered the ocean, the waves, and the beach this time which was really cool. She's no longer afraid of the waves though, which is SCARY for mom. We hit the beach early each day since Gabby rises at 6 a.m. Beat the crowds and were back to the house each morning for naptime. Pretty nice!

The best part of our trip was being able to meet up with Mujer (Jen), Jay C, and sweet little Janie for a little baby reunion! Janie is such a doll baby and Gabby loved sharing her snacks with her. They were so cute together. I just know they would be best buds if they lived closer! It was sad to say good-bye to my Mujer, but hopefully we can spend some more time together soon...

Quiet time...

Every day after we come home from daycare, Gabby asks for her Pooh blankie, her ninny, and a sippy cup of milk. Tuck her in under a blanket, and all the 'gredients are there for some prime down time!

Gabby-Gabby

Gabby is quite the talker these days. I could watch her jibber jabber to her babies and her Little People all day. Last night, she pretended to push her baby down the "slide" (actually, a pillow). She started her off at the top and said, "ready? WEEE" as she slid her down. So cute!

Then she was busy busy busy with her people doll house- ringing the door bell and saying, "bing bong!", and helping the Daddy to go potty on the toilet! "Potty, K? Potty. K."

Then, she was changing her baby's diaper and I watched her fold the baby's legs up- toes almost to her ears so she could get to the baby's hiney. Then she carefully wiped the baby's behind, inspected the wipe and said, "Gross." I could have died- it was so funny! I suspect I should watch myself from here on out when tackling a dirty diaper! Hahahahaha!

The Fourth of July.

This year, the fourth of July was so much fun! I had forgotten how many memories were made as a kid during the excitement of Independence Day! The BOOM of the fireworks, yelling and clapping during the finale, the smell of the smoke when it is all over. Gabby loved the fireworks and I found myself feeling like the luckiest mom alive as she watched in awe, and said "Wow! BOOM! Light!" I know she won't remember this day, but I am so happy that our family's collection of memories is already piling up. Happy belated fourth to everyone, and thank you Gabby for being such a joy that day! LOVE YOU!

Beach Fun!

We had a wonderful trip to Bethany Beach, Delaware! The weather was so gorgeous and the Tindalls have finally aced the art of vacationing with little one... Gabby loves the sand and waves on her toes. She kept talking to the waves when they would cover her feet. "There you go!" It was so cute. Grandmom and PopPop loved having the sound of Gabby's little footsteps in their beach house and Gabby enjoyed all the extra attention and hugs & kisses! Can't wait to go back...

VIVAAAAAAAAAAAAA, LAS VEGAS!

Our trip to Vegas was SO much fun! We did some relaxing, site seeing, saw the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon,and Hoover Dam. We even got to spend some time with Aunt Peanuts and Ann, which was so nice! Gabby won their hearts of course, and it was so awesome to spend some quality time with them. We can't wait to come back.

Gabby was a trooper on the plane, and during the whole trip- time change and all. I can't believe what a good girl she was! Grandmom and PopPop are already wondering where our next vacation will be! : )

Sentences!

If you haven't noticed, Gabby's Word List is poorly neglected these days. That's because we can't keep up with the blossoming vocabulary! Today she said, "I want boon!" (balloon) and last night at the dinner table she told us "I want down."
